Last.fm Trends: Jamie Foxx Hits Live On Letterman

Jamie Fox Best Night of My Life

Next Tuesday, December 21, Jamie Foxx will be Live on Letterman, performing in the world-renowned Ed Sullivan Theater as very special festive treat.

Last.fm Trends look at what Foxx’s fans have been playing recently to get you warmed up.

Straight off the bat, Foxx isn’t short of fans at Last.fm. 370,386 listeners have scrobbled his hits 2,965,548 times so far, which is a strong showing for a pop act at Last.fm.

Week on week his charts have been dominated by cuts from Intuition, Foxx’s 2008 album. It’s a recurring favorite, with tracks like “Blame It,” “Intuition Interlude” and “I Don’t Need It” regularly in his top ten tracks.

“Blame It” has actually been climbing throughout the fall, probably in response to Foxx’s latest release. The rest of his catalog’s been showing a similar rise too.

That said, he might do well do drop the vocal from “Gold Digger” while he’s in the Big Apple. The Kanye West tune – which made Foxx a household name – has picked up 1,345,194 scrobbles from 368,784 listeners.

Of his new album Best Night Of My Life it’s “Winner” which has captured fans’ attention at Last.fm. With 22,571 listeners spinning it so far, especially in the summer, it’s been a huge success for the Texas-born musician.

Tune in to the  Live on Letterman webcast presented by AT&T next Tuesday, December 21st, to see which tunes Foxx drops, and be sure to check back with Last.fm Trends every weekday to find out the latest news in scrobbles.

I think its time Jamie had another TV special. His library of songs has grown to a point where it would be very entertaining esp. if he invited some of his friends and did a little comedy to go along with the music.
