Coinciding with the album’s release will be the first leg of Wilco’s North American tour, including Live On Letterman, a live webcast concert from the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City, Wednesday, Sept. 21.

The Whole Love hits stores on Tuesday, Sept. 27, follows the band’s 2009 GRAMMY-nominated Wilco (The Album) and was recorded at the band’s Chicago recording studio The Loft. The Whole Love features 12 new original tunes and is produced by Jeff Tweedy with Patrick Sansone and Tom Schick.

In their 17 years as a band, Wilco has been nominated for five GRAMMY® Awards and won two in 2005, including Best Alternative Music Album and Best Recording Package for A Ghost Is Born. The Whole Love is the third album by Wilco’s present lineup, which solidified in 2004 when avant-garde guitarist Nels Cline and guitarist/keyboardist Patrick Sansone joined bandleader Jeff Tweedy, founding bassist John Stirratt, drummer Glenn Kotche and keyboardist Mikael Jorgensen. The Whole Love captures the vibrant energy the band brings to its live performances and features 12 stunning songs that showcase Wilco in a new light, through bold rock, somber acoustic ballads and punchy pop songs.

Fans can watch the Wilco webcast live or on-demand at liveonletterman.com. In addition, the show will be broadcast on WXRT in Wilco’s hometown of Chicago, viewable live on CBS’s JumboTron in Times Square, as well as via a live audio stream on Radio.com‘s mobile apps. The webcasts are also offered through VEVO‘s website.
